Tasting menu, great food, and great service

I live nearby but had never been to Amber, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The ambiance is serene and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed meal. The service was warm and attentive, making me feel truly welcomed. And the food—simply outstanding. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and will definitely be returning.

I ordered a matcha latte, but the staff made a mistake and gave me the wrong latte. When I informed her that I had ordered a matcha latte, instead of apologizing for the mix-up, she repeated the word "matcha" in a strange tone—I’m not sure if she was trying to correct my pronunciation or something else, but she didn’t say sorry and just walked away. Then, when the matcha latte finally arrived, it was served in a water glass, not even a proper coffee cup. What’s the point of this? The whole coffee experience felt very unprofessional. To make matters worse, the £25 set menu we ordered was overly salty. The whole experience definitely not worth the £30 per person. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

I was very excited to try amber, given the glowing reviews and a couple of recommendations.
I came with a couple of friends and I’d say the food was very underwhelming. We shared a few small plates, a highlight was the cauliflower but the chicken was very average and sea bass was relatively nice. Then for large plates we ordered the lamb shoulder and courgette dishes. The lamb was shredded and just felt a bit reheated and the courgette was quite bitter and disappointed.
The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere but for the price point I was hoping for better.

Wow, is the best word I can use to describe our experience at Amber. We were blown away by the quality of food from the tasting menu. Each course surprised us and was absolutely delicious, with perfect presentation. It was well worth the money. The service was en pointe- soon after we finished one dish, the next would come, so we were not impatient. I was particularly stunned by the seared cauliflower dish, whose texture and taste was like none I'd had before. And the mango baklava was a perfect ending. I can't recommend this place enough. The focus is on the food but the atmosphere is nice; rather hip and simple, but that's good (my 4/5 stars there might be conservative). Anyway, yes yes yes to Amber! We look forward to another visit. We live somewhat far outside London but we'd come back for this.

Food was nice, but nothing special in my opinion and was very overpriced for what it was. We paid £19 for a courgette, and humous was £8 which seems a lot. We didn't order any meat and got a few dishes and 2 alcoholic drinks and spent almost £100. It didn't feel like £100 worth of food.

Had great experience here - amazing flavours. Highly recommend the courgette fritters and cauliflower plates. The deserts were creative and delicious.

So beautiful and cozy. Perfect dishes, extremely tasteful. Super service. We came for a lunch but we will try brunch as well.

Incredible dishes on the sea bass, cauliflower/ broccoli stalks was outstanding. Smoked potato’s was incredible too. Coming back for sure!!!

A little gem of a place has excellent food and cocktails. The staff were helpful and very friendly and will happily walk you through choosing food from the menu. Don't ignore the cauliflower stalks they were a revelation
